Tutoring Policy
Tutoring Policy
The library premises are available for the use of members of the public to meet their needs in accessing information and for quiet enjoyment of library materials and equipment. As part of its educational mission, the library permits tutoring on the premises in accordance with this policy.
The library does not sponsor recommend or assume liability or responsibility for the work and/or activities of tutors who use available library space. All arrangements must be made between the tutor, student and parents.
Guidelines:
Tutors are welcome to use the table areas located throughout the library and are available on a first come first serve basis. Tables cannot be reserved for tutoring.
The community room is also available for use by tutors however library programs, library activities, and daily maintenance take precedence. The community room may not be reserved for tutoring.
Tutors and their students are required to follow the ESFL’s Code of Conduct. The library reserves the right to ask tutoring or study groups that become too loud or disruptive to leave the library.
Tutors and their students are required to follow the ESFL’s Internet Policy.
Eating is prohibited in the library. Drinking from closed or lidded containers is acceptable except at any library computer workstation. All trash and recycling must be properly disposed of and all study areas must be clean after each use.
Students must be under the tutor’s supervision at all times.
The library assumes no responsibility for children left unattended.
Tutors working with students at the end of the day are asked to leave the library fifteen minutes before closing time.
Tutors and students must brings their own supplies, such as paper, pens, pencils, etc. Tutors and students may use library materials in accordance with library policies.
